A place for people who make things with their hands. Cosplayers, Kit Builders, Gunpla, Sculptors, Blacksmiths, Hobbyists, Gamers, and everyone in between.

So this is the part where I'm supposed to welcome you to the creators and builders section of COSiPLAY.net and say something about community and inspiration and all of that. And I will. But first I want to tell you what this space actually is, because I think that matters more than a greeting.

This is a place for people who make things with their hands. Cosplayers building armour out of EVA foam in a spare bedroom. Model kit builders spending an entire weekend on panel lining and clear coats. Warhammer painters getting the edge highlights right on a squad they've been working on for a month. D&D players sculpting terrain out of insulation foam and hot glue. Streamers building out their setups piece by piece. Room builders turning a boring guest room into something that feels like it belongs in a different world entirely. If you're making something and you want to share the process, this is for you.

I've been building costumes for over a decade now, somewhere around 20 of them, and the thing that kept me going was never really the finished product. It was the other people. The forums where someone would post a WIP and three strangers would jump in with suggestions. The convention hallways where you spot someone wearing a build you watched come together on Instagram over six months. The feeling of seeing someone figure out a technique you struggled with and finding a completely different solution that works better than yours did. That's the part I love. That's what I want this section to be.

We're going to be covering creators from all over. Spotlights on builders whose work deserves more eyes on it. Build logs that walk through an entire project from template to finished piece. Technique features that break down how someone solved a specific problem in a way that might help you solve yours. Event coverage when something worth talking about happens. And we're actively looking for submissions, your builds, your process photos, your stories about what you're working on and why.

But I want to be clear about something. This is not a space where everything has to be polished. Some of the best builds I've ever seen started as a hot mess of foam scraps and contact adhesive fumes with no clear plan. Creation is not about the final photo, it's about the fourteen failed attempts before the one that worked. It's about the paint stain on the carpet you've given up on. It's about the 2am scroll through reference images when you should absolutely be asleep but you just had an idea and now you need to see if anyone else has tried it.

Every person reading this brings something different. Different fandoms, different skill levels, different tools, different reasons for building. Someone doing their first closet cosplay with thrift store finds and someone running a full workshop with an airbrush station and a laser cutter are both making things that matter. Both belong here.

So yes, welcome. Share your work. Tell us what you're building and what inspired it. Drop a comment when you see something you like, because I promise you the person who made it will remember that. And if you've got a tutorial or a technique or even just a material recommendation that helped you, put it out there. Odds are someone else is stuck on the exact same problem right now.

This section is going to grow the way the community grows, one build at a time. I'm genuinely excited to see what shows up.
